A beer with all round appeal, the initial fizz and sweetness gives way to a refreshing bursts of hop flavour which lingers through to a crisp dry finish. Quenching low gravity beer with a nice bitterness in flavour and citrus in the aroma, we think Twisted Spire appeals to the palates of both the practised ale drinker and potential lager convert.
The beer's name was inspired by the curious and rare twisted spire church of St Mary the Virgin in the heart of Cleobury Mortimer, home to Hobsons. Twisted is brewed with locally sourced Maris Otter malting barley and hop varieties Fuggles, Hersbruker and First Gold. The 10 litre polypin of beer holds approx. 18 pints, sometimes termed a 'bag in a box' it consists of a plastic bag in a rigid cardboard box with a dispensing tap.
