FAQs

Technical, Cleaning & Maintenance

What are the dimensions and weight of Pint365?

The Dimensions of Pint365 are shown in the image below. You can find these dimensions alongside further information on how to use and care for Pint365, on our product pages. Products can be found here.

The overall weight of the unit is 9kg or 19.84lb

Will you install my pump?

Pint365 has been designed to be set up within a couple of minutes in your home by you.

There are no electrical parts to connect, nor is there any need for plumbing.  An illustrated instruction guide is included with Pint365

If you still need support, we also have live chat support from 08:00 - 00:00 seven days a week, who will be able to help you as well as telephone and email support between 08:00 until 17:00 Monday to Friday.

What will my Pint365 fit onto?

Pint365 mounts using its built in G-Clamp, it can clamp on anything smaller than 70mm or 2.75” thick. The surface you need to mount on to needs to be able to counter balance the unit which weighs 9kg.

We also have two free standing leg options; one of which will allow you to place Pint365 on your work surface or desk if you aren’t able to use the G-Clamp. The other will allow you to have Pint365 as a floor standing pump, this is ideal for the garden or patio area.

How do I assemble my work surface frame?

Assembly is very straightforward. Please see our illustrated instruction guide https://www.pint365.com/article/4-stand-assembly

How do I assemble the free standing leg on to the work surface frame?

To assemble your stand:

  1. Lie your unit on its back with the Masons badge facing down
  2. Loosen the 4 knobs on each side of the unit and carefully lift the front cover up and off
  3. Remove the 4 knobs completely
  4. Take the unit and place it on its side
  5. Take one of the legs (make sure the flat part of the stand is facing outwards – see attached picture) line the holes up and tighten the knobs ‘hand tight’
  6. Turn Pint365 over onto the other side and repeat
  7. Return Pint365 to an upright position
  8. Loosen all 4 knobs by approximately 3 -4 rotations
  9. Replace front cover.  Your stand should be in between the frame and the front cover
  10. Once in place tighten all 4 knobs ‘hand tight’

*We recommend always handling Pint365 by the stainless steel swan neck tap*

Alternatively, please see our illustrated guide https://www.pint365.com/article/4-stand-assembly

Does the beer line have to be a certain length?

No, however we would recommend no longer than 4 metres. Any longer and you risking potentially starving Pint365 as the beer can’t travel the distance in the required time to keep up with the beer being dispensed

Can I shorten the beer line myself?

Yes, you can – Please make sure that you make a square cut to ensure that the push fit connectors seal correctly

Can I join 2 lengths of beer line?

Yes you can – provided you don’t exceed the recommend maximum length of 4 metres. Each beer line is supplied with the push fittings.  Remove the black fitting from one end of the pipe and insert it into the grey push fitting.

Can I buy spare beer line?

Yes, please visit our spares page, where we sell spare beer line as well as several other accessories you may find helpful and/or complementary to Pint365.

Do the pumps need electricity to operate?

There are no electrical parts to connect and no plumbing involved.

If I want to countersink the pump into my work surface - is this possible?

Yes, but not with Pint365. Please contact our technical team via our contact us page

I want a custom pump who should I speak to?

Please contact our technical team via our contact us page, letting us know what you would like to

How do I change a Pump Clip?

Pump clips will help make your CaskMaster even more authentic, they are seen in many bars and often have the name of the beer etched onto them.

To change your pump clip there are often two methods:

  1. Gently pull the clip off the pump if the clips don’t have any screws on the white clips.
  2. If there are screws on the white clips, undo them until the clip pulls away from the pump.

When fitting your next pump clip we would recommend that you mount the pump clip on top of the ferrule and below the handle.

Can I buy spare or replacement parts?

We would hope you do not need replacement parts. However, if you feel something is not working correctly, please get in touch with us, as some of the parts within the pump are not user serviceable.

If however, you need some more sparklers or a new drip tray, please take a look at our accessories page where you may also find some extra bits to accompany your pump.

Can I use Pint365 in my restaurant?

It is more than likely this will not be a problem, but please contact or friendly customer service team, using the form opposite. We will then be able to explain further things you should consider when using Pint365 in a restaurant.

What do I do if line cleaner is swallowed?

Wash out mouth with water. Consult a doctor or dial 111 and provide the details of the product which can be found here www.pint365.com/on-tap/keep-it-clean

What do I do if line cleaner is splashed into my eye?

Bathe the eye with running water for 15 minutes. Consult a doctor or dial 111 and provide the details of the product which can be found here www.pint365.com/on-tap/keep-it-clean

Why isn't my beer pulling properly?

Firstly, check the following:

a.         Is Pint365 the recommended distance from box to pump

b.         Is the cable bent, twisted or kinked

c.         Have you run out of beer

Other things to check are:

  1. make sure the beer is at the correct temperature (no warmer than 13 Celsius or 55 Fahrenheit)
  2. check that your pipe fittings are pushed on sufficiently
  3. Check you that you’re Polypin or Bag in Box is fully open.
  4. Check your sparkler as different beers require different levels of agitation and you may be using the wrong sparkler for your beer.
  5. Is there a stopper to remove where the sparkler or clingfilm goes.

What is LCP (LineClenze Powder)?

LCP is a fine white odorless powder used as an effective replacement for caustic soda when cleaning beer lines. We include a sachet with every purchase of Pint365. You are also able to purchase additional supplies of this product by visiting  www.pint365.com/on-tap/keep-it-clean

Is LCP safe to use?

LineClenze Powder has a formulation of buffers and mild alkalis that make it safe on skin and soft materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and plastics.

As with all chemicals, avoid contact with eyes and skin as mild irritation may occur. If irritation continues, we recommend you consult a doctor or dial 111 and provide the details of the product which can be found on the Line Cleaner Page. http://www.pint365.com/on-tap/keep-it-clean

How do I store LCP?

LCP should be kept in an airtight container out of the reach of children on a high shelf or in a locked cupboard.

How often should I clean my lines?

If LCP is used on your lines from new you should only need to clean your lines once every four weeks or when you change the brand of beer or cider you are pulling through the pump.

See our page, pouring the perfect pint for more information on why a clean line helps your pour a good pint.

Is LCP Biodegradable?

Yes. LCP degrades into harmless elements, meaning there are no harmful by-products left within the beer lines. The cleaning process is completely safe.

How should I clean my glassware?

With your glassware we would suggest that you have a dedicated beer glass, you will need to use it only with washing up powder as this doesn’t contain grease. Grease attacks the beer and causes it to go flat.

We would also suggest that you don’t use your beer glass with any other drinks such as milk which also contains a grease. Please be aware that grease doesn’t always get removed from a thorough washing.

See our page, pouring the perfect pint for more information on why a clean glass helps your pour a good pint.

Beer related

What brands of beer/breweries are available?

We will always have a wide selection of beers from various breweries available. See here

We add new beers to the site on a weekly basis, if we don’t have a been you would expect to find, please email hello@pint365.com or complete the form opposite, we will do our best to see if we can stock it.

What is the shelf life of my beer?

All beers have different shelf lives. Please take a look at our beers page, in the description of the beer, you will see the life of the beer once opened. Please note some breweries will put the best before date on the beer box also.

What is the difference between Cask & Craft Beer?

Real Ale is a beer that has fermented in the vessel from which it is served, and the carbonation is entirely natural, not forced. Most real ale is served from a cask via a hand pump. A well-kept pint of ale is a skill; it will have all the flavours that the brewer intended.

Craft Ale doesn’t have an exact definition in the UK, however the USA define a craft brewer as one that produces less than six million barrels of beer per year. This would include a huge majority of breweries in the UK, so in the UK it is down to the individual’s interpretation.

How do I know when my beer is ready to drink?

Please refer to the instructions printed on the side of the bag or box.

Please note that a bright beer should be good to serve when it is at the correct temperature. (No warmer than 13 Degrees C or 55 Degrees Fahrenheit.

Live beer must be left completely still for 24-36 hours. This is to make sure it has completely settled.

How much beer (or how many pints) is in a box?

I litre is equal to 1.75975 IMPERIAL PINT

5 litres = 8.5 pints*

10 litres = 17.5 pints*

20 litres = 35 pints*

*Approximately

How/where do I store my beer?

We recommend that the beer is stored in a cool dark place.  The following are ideal locations for storing beer:

  • The Fridge
  • The Shed
  • The Garage

If you have found an even better place, feel free to share the location with us.

What temperature should I store my beer at?

It needs to be kept in conditions no warmer than 13 Degrees C or 55 Degrees Fahrenheit.

Can I store my beer in the fridge?

It is fine to store in the refrigerator section (not the freezer compartment) unless on the beer box it advises not to do so.

How do I change my Polypin?

If you are changing the beer, we would recommend a clean or swill through to just to remove any of the remaining beer which may contaminate the taste of the new beer. You can purchase additional supplies of this product by visiting our Line Cleaner Page.

If you are using the same beer, we recommend that you just connect to the next Polypin or Bag in Box and carry on dispensing. To remove the push-fit fitting attached to the tap of the Polypin or Bag in Box you will need to push the furthest point from the center of the fitting back towards the valve.

Why is my beer frothy?

Please follow these simple tips:

  1. Check the beer is at correct temperature (no warmer than 13 Degrees Celsius or 55 Degrees Fahrenheit).
  2. Check that your pipe fitting is fully pushed on.
  3. Check you that you’re Polypin or Bag in Box is fully open.
  4. Different beers require different levels of agitation and you may have the incorrect sparkler fitted for your beer.
  5. We recommend that you try pulling the beer pump handle slower.
